Natural Remedy to Effectively Remove Earwax and Fight Off Ear Infections

To some people, the glands inside the ears produce more cerumen (wax) that can’t be easily removed.
Wax protects the ear by capturing dust and bacteria and other small particles, reducing any possible wounds that may occur.
Sometimes, the ear can produce too much wax that can affect our hearing, and sometimes it is very painful.
Here are some natural solutions for removing wax plugs:

1. Baby oil
Heat 1 teaspoon of baby oil at body temperature.
Remember that any liquid that you put in your ear, if it’s warmer or cooler then body’s temperature, can cause the feeling of vertigo.
Tilt the head so that the infected ear is oriented towards the ceiling.
Pull the ear down and out, to be sufficiently open for the oil to get in the ear.
Put a few drops in your ear using a pipette. Keep the ear in the same position for 5-7 minutes.
Repeat this twice a day for 3-4 days in a row. Then wash the wax from your ear using a syringe with warm water.
If it works properly, the oil will soften the wax from your ear.
Then, put a few drops of rubbing alcohol in your ear to prevent bacteria.

2. Saline solution
Mix 2 teaspoons of salt with half a cup of warm water until the salt dissolves completely.
Using a pipette add a few drops in your ear, keeping your head up.
Keep the water in your ear for 3-5 minutes and tilt your head in the opposite direction to drain the water.
This is said to be the best way to remove wax from your ear.

3. Vinegar and rubbing alcohol
Put equal parts of vinegar and alcohol in a bowl and then mix. Add a few drops in your ear and drain immediately.
This method is great for swimmer’s ear.
